Arrest and inmate listings on PrisonAssist.com are compiled from publicly available records, including county sheriff and jail rosters, state department of corrections inmate locators, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Agencies publish these records; we aggregate copies for search convenience.
When you choose Background Check or Arrest Records from our services menu, you may be redirected to TruthFinder — a third-party public-records search service. Reports are assembled by TruthFinder from multiple data sources, not by us.

Facility rosters change constantly as people are booked, transferred, and released. We refresh directory records on a recurring schedule, but there is always a lag between a facility's live system and what appears here. Always confirm bail amounts, location, and release status directly with the jail or court before acting.
We do not create or alter underlying government records. Names can be misspelled at the source, charges can change, and records can be sealed or expunged. An entry on this Site is a copy of a public record at a point in time — not a statement of fact about any individual. TruthFinder reports may contain additional or different information and are subject to TruthFinder's own accuracy limitations.
Where we show a facility record count, it reflects historical arrest/inmate records in our database, not necessarily the facility's current headcount. Do not rely on it for operational or population statistics.
If you believe a directory record on our Site is outdated, or should be removed (for example, after dismissal, sealing, or expungement), use our Record Removal & Correction page.
