How it works
Directory records on PrisonAssist.com are copies of public government sources. We can update or remove our copy when appropriate — for example, after dismissal, sealing, expungement, inaccuracy, or identity mismatch. We review every request individually.
Important: Removing a record here does not remove it from the original jail, court, or sheriff website, or from TruthFinder or other third parties. Contact each source separately; for TruthFinder, see their privacy policy.
Who may submit
The person named in the record, a parent or guardian, an attorney or authorized representative, or a close family member helping a loved one. We may verify identity and relationship before acting.
What to include
- Full name as shown on the record;
- Facility and county;
- Booking or inmate ID if known;
- URL of the page showing the record;
- Whether you want removal, correction, or update, and why;
- Court order or documentation for dismissal, sealing, or expungement (speeds review).
Sealing & expungement
Rules vary by state. We are not a law firm and cannot file petitions for you. If a court has already sealed or expunged your record, provide documentation and we will remove our copy when verified.
Presumption of innocence
An arrest is not a conviction. Directory information must not be used for employment, housing, credit, or other FCRA-regulated decisions. See our Terms of Use.
