Our Team

A small, mission-driven team building compassionate tools for families of incarcerated loved ones.

Who we are

Engineers, journalists & advocates — not a faceless directory

PrisonAssist.com sits at the intersection of public data, journalism, and family support. We believe finding an incarcerated loved one and helping them should not require a law degree, a dozen phone calls, or a second job just to afford a phone call.

Leadership & product

Tom Davis and Jason Wrather co-founded the company after seeing how hard it is to turn messy public records into something families can use. Tom drives product and engineering; Jason leads data and statistics across 50 facilities in 29 states.

Editorial

C Dreams, Marilena Marchetti, CJ Baker, and Randy Lilleston write facility guides, news, and family resources — each with a named byline and public profile. Randy brings decades of experience from AARP.org and USA Today.

Operations

Partnerships and customer care keep the operational side honest: vetted bail agents, facility rules tracked as they change, and families who reach out never left with a dead end.

How we work

From raw records to family-ready guidance

Data & statistics

Public records cleaned, matched, and organized into searchable rosters and state-level charts.

Directory & discovery

Facility pages, rosters, and free search connect families to the right institution fast.

Research & writing

Writers verify against official sources, FCC rules, and facility policies — then editors review before publish.

Services & support

Bail, mail, packages, calls, and records search — with facility rules handled so help gets through the first time.

Our editorial policy, blog, and prison directory show that work in the open.
