Stay connected and lend a hand — send mail, set up cheaper calls, ship a care package, or post bail.
This page covers the inmate records we hold for the Arkansas Division of Correction (ADC), the agency that runs the state's prison units. Unlike a single county jail, the ADC is a statewide system, so the person you are looking for could be housed at any one of its units and may be transferred between them. The records below are a historical directory of booking and custody entries on file — a starting point for locating someone and taking the next step, not a real-time population list. For more on this facility — history, programs, and what to expect — see our full facility profile.
Arkansas publishes an official Inmate Population Information Search that lets you look someone up across the whole state by name and ADC number, and it exposes useful filters such as facility, county of commitment, and offense category. Because ADC numbers stay with a person as they move between units, that number is the most reliable way to track someone through the system. On this page you can also browse the records we hold by last name (A–Z), gender, or age to narrow a common name; when you find the right person, confirm their current unit against the state locator, since transfers happen regularly.
Arkansas has moved to centralized, off-site mail processing, and this trips up a lot of families. As of September 15, 2025, non-legal mail is no longer delivered in paper form directly to ADC units. Instead, general correspondence must be sent to a central processing address — P.O. Box 25918, Tampa, Florida 33622 — where it is scanned and delivered to the incarcerated person electronically. Legal and privileged mail from an attorney is the exception and still goes directly to the unit where the client is housed. Always put the incarcerated person's full name and ADC number on the envelope, and do not send contraband-prone items like stickers or crayon drawings, which are commonly rejected.
You can add money to someone's account online through the state's inmate banking service, which takes a card and charges a small processing fee, or by mailing a money order to Trust Fund Centralized Banking, P.O. Box 8908, Pine Bluff, AR 71611. Money orders must be made payable to the incarcerated person and include their ADC number. Funds on the books let a person buy hygiene items, snacks, and phone time from the commissary, and it is often the single most practical form of support you can provide day to day. Because the money passes through centralized banking rather than a local unit window, allow a few business days for a mailed deposit to post, and keep your confirmation or money-order stub until you see the balance update.
One thing that confuses families new to the state system is that "Arkansas Division of Correction" is not one address — it is a network of units spread across the state, each with its own security level, programs, and visiting rules. A person is assigned to a unit based on their custody classification, medical and program needs, and available beds, and that assignment can change over a sentence. When you locate someone, note the exact unit name, because everything practical — the visiting schedule you follow, the local staff you might call, and even how quickly mail reaches them — depends on it. If a person is suddenly harder to reach or their visiting day changes, a transfer to a different unit is often the reason, and re-checking the state locator will usually confirm it.
The Division of Correction uses both in-person and video visitation, and you must be on the incarcerated person's approved phone and visitor list before you can visit. Appointments generally have to be scheduled at least 48 hours ahead. Each unit sets its own visiting days and hours, so once you know which unit holds your person, confirm that unit's specific schedule rather than assuming a system-wide time. First-time visitors usually have to complete an application and be approved before a visit, and rules on children, dress, and what you may bring into the visiting room are enforced strictly. To verify custody status, a recent transfer, or release information, the ADC's information line is 870-267-6999.
Phone contact is one of the most reliable ways to stay close to someone in the ADC. Calls are placed by the incarcerated person to numbers on their approved list — you generally cannot call into a unit and reach them directly. Families often set up a prepaid account with the state's phone provider so calls connect without interruption, and the per-minute cost of those calls adds up quickly, which is why lower-cost calling arrangements can make a real difference over a long sentence. Keeping a small balance on both the phone and commissary accounts, and making sure your number is on the approved list, removes the most common reasons a call fails to go through.
Because the ADC is a sentenced-population system, many families are also navigating parole eligibility, good-time credits, and reentry planning rather than a pending trial. If your loved one is still pre-trial in a county jail rather than sentenced to the ADC, bail may be an option through the court; once someone is in ADC custody, the focus shifts to communication, commissary, program participation, and preparing for release. Staying in regular contact is not only support — consistent family involvement is associated with smoother reentry. Everyone listed on this page is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, and a record here is not evidence of a conviction.
Confirm the person's current unit and ADC number using the state locator, then use this page to keep track and take the next step — send a letter through the new central mail process, add money for commissary, or set up cheaper calls. Because state records can lag behind transfers and releases, confirm anything time-sensitive directly with the ADC before you act.
