La Palma Correctional Center in Eloy, Arizona — operated by CoreCivic under contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry — allows in-person visitation seven days a week, which is more flexible than many state facilities. Scheduling Your Visit in Advance
La Palma requires all visits to be scheduled online in advance — you cannot simply show up. You will need to select the date and visiting window that works for you. Walk-in visits without a prior appointment are not accepted.
Before your first visit, you also need to be on the inmate's approved visitor list. The process for getting approved is governed by ADCRR Departmental Order 911. Ask your loved one to submit a visitor request through their case manager at the facility. Once submitted, the approval process may take several days, so plan ahead and do not wait until just before your intended visit to start the process.
Visiting Hours
La Palma accepts visits on all seven days of the week. In-person visiting takes place in two sessions:
- Morning session: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Afternoon session: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
These hours apply Sunday through Saturday. Video visits are also available on weekdays for approved contacts who cannot travel to Eloy. Video visiting is conducted through a separate platform — ask your loved one or the facility for the current video visitation provider and link.
Dress Code: What You Can and Cannot Wear
La Palma enforces a dress code, and visitors who arrive in prohibited clothing will be turned away. The facility follows ADCRR's standard visitor dress policy:

- Medical scrubs of any color
- Camouflage clothing or patterns
- Shorts that are above knee length when standing
- Skirts or dresses that are above knee length when standing
- Clothing that is excessively tight, sheer, or otherwise inappropriate
General Dress Expectations
Visitors must remain fully clothed at all times. The facility expects appropriate, modest attire for a secure environment. If you are unsure whether an outfit is acceptable, err on the side of caution and choose something else. Arriving in non-compliant clothing means the visit will not happen that day, and you will have wasted the trip to Eloy.
What to Bring
Identification is required. All adult visitors (typically those 16 and older) must present valid government-issued photo ID. Minors may visit with adult supervision; check with the facility on the specific requirements for bringing children, as those rules can be updated periodically.
Visitors are not permitted to bring items from outside into the visiting area. Leave wallets, bags, phones, and personal belongings in your vehicle before entering the building.
What to Expect at Security
All visitors entering La Palma pass through a walk-through metal detector. The facility uses standard correctional security screening. You may be subject to additional screening if the metal detector registers a concern. Staff are authorized to conduct pat searches and, in some cases, searches of personal property or vehicles. Cooperation with the screening process is required — visitors who refuse screening are denied entry.

Minors are permitted to visit with a supervising adult. The visiting child must also be on the approved visitor list, and the adult accompanying them must be an approved visitor as well. Children must remain under adult supervision throughout the visit and are expected to comply with facility rules, including remaining seated and behaving appropriately in the visiting room.
If Your Visit Is Denied or Restricted
Wardens have the authority to restrict or cancel visitation for safety, security, or institutional reasons. If visiting was suspended on the day of your trip — for example, due to a lockdown or institutional incident — you will need to reschedule through the OnceHub portal. The facility can also restrict visitation for individual inmates as a disciplinary measure. If your loved one has had visiting restricted, their case manager can explain the terms and duration of the restriction.
