Inmate Service Providers: The Complete Directory

The companies behind jail and prison phone calls, video visits, money transfers, email, and care packages — what each one does, what it costs, and how to use it.

When someone you love is arrested, you quickly run into a wall of unfamiliar company names — Securus, ViaPath, JPay, Keefe, CorrLinks. These are the private vendors that correctional facilities contract with to run almost every way you can stay in touch with or support an inmate. This directory explains who's who across 15 of the most common providers, grouped by what they do.

Two things are worth knowing up front. First, you usually don't get to choose the provider — each facility picks one company per service, so which platform you use depends entirely on where your loved one is held. Second, prices changed significantly in 2026: under the FCC's Martha Wright-Reed rules, new per-minute rate caps and a ban on facility "site commissions" took effect on April 6, 2026, lowering the cost of calls nationwide. You can read the background in our guide on why inmate phone calls are so expensive.
