Access Securepak is the care-package program of the Keefe Group, and it's one of the most widely used vendors for sending facility-approved food, hygiene, clothing, and electronics to inmates. Why you have to use a vendor like Securepak
You generally cannot assemble and mail your own package to an inmate. To control contraband, most facilities require packages to come from an approved vendor that ships from a secured warehouse, seals orders with tamper-evident tape, and automatically enforces the facility's limits and restrictions. Access Securepak is built for exactly that.
How to order
- Go to accesscatalog.com.
- Search for your inmate by name or ID number and select the correct facility — this is critical, because the catalog and rules are tailored to each location.
- Browse the pre-approved menu (food, snacks, hygiene, writing supplies, apparel, footwear, and electronics where allowed). You can only send what's listed.
- Watch for per-item limit notes and any spending cap, then check out with your billing and card details.
- Save your confirmation email and order number to track delivery.
You can also order by phone at 800-546-6283. Delivery to the facility typically takes about 7–14 business days, after which staff process and hand off the package.
Rules to keep in mind
- The facility sets the final rules — spending limits, quantity caps, and how often packages are allowed (many programs run on quarterly windows).
- Choosing the wrong facility means the inmate search won't work and the package can't be delivered.
- Items not on the approved menu simply aren't an option — there's no way to add outside goods.
Securepak vs. hot meals and money
Some facilities also offer a separate hot-meal program (often iCare by Aramark) alongside Securepak, and you can't mix the two — confirm which vendor your facility uses for each. If you'd rather send spending money so your loved one can buy commissary themselves, that runs through deposit platforms like Access Corrections (also a Keefe company) or JPay.
