TouchPay is the payments subsidiary behind much of ViaPath's money movement. Operated as TouchPay Holdings, LLC (d/b/a GTL Financial Services), it's the brand you'll most often run into when mailing a money order to an inmate's trust account or using a lobby kiosk.
What TouchPay does
- Inmate trust deposits via kiosk, secure website, toll-free phone (IVR), and retail walk-in locations.
- Mailed money orders to inmate accounts where supported.
- Court and municipal payments.
For online and phone deposits, TouchPay sits behind ViaPath's ConnectNetwork system; for money orders, you mail directly to TouchPay.
Ways to pay
- Online at tpgovtpay.com (or via ConnectNetwork).
- Phone (IVR): call the automated deposit line at 866-232-1899 and follow the prompts.
- Kiosk: use a TouchPay lobby kiosk at the facility.
- Retail: create the order online, then pay cash at a participating walk-in location.
- Money order: make it payable to "TouchPay Holdings," include the required deposit slip, and mail it to the address printed on that slip (for many agencies this is TouchPay Holdings, LLC, PO Box 174, Houston, TX 77001-0174).
Money-order rules to follow exactly
- Use the inmate's full name and correct ID number.
- Don't include staples, paper clips, cash, letters, photos, or stamps — only the form and the money order.
- Many agencies cap money orders (commonly around $300) and there's usually no fee for the money-order method.
- Funds are typically available within several business days (up to about ten) — sooner where possible.
- Always pull the current deposit slip and mailing address from ConnectNetwork's "Ways to Pay → Mail" section, since they differ by agency.
Online vs. mail
Most online, phone, kiosk, and retail payments process within about 24 hours, while mailed money orders are the slowest option but often the cheapest (no fee). If speed matters, deposit online; if you prefer cash and no fee, mail a money order.
