ConnectNetwork: ViaPath's Deposit & AdvancePay Platform

ConnectNetwork is the money-and-phone hub run by ViaPath Technologies (the company formerly known as GTL). If a facility uses ViaPath, ConnectNetwork is where you fund calls and deposit money — while its sister app, GettingOut, handles tablet messaging and video visits.

The accounts ConnectNetwork manages

• Trust account deposits. Commissary money for food, hygiene, and property — the "books." This is the account most families need.
• AdvancePay. A prepaid phone account so your loved one can call you; you can set up text alerts to reload it.
• PIN debit. Funds the inmate can use for calls and certain services.

Many ViaPath facilities also have separate accounts for things like video visitation funded through GettingOut. The key rule: ConnectNetwork = calling + trust money; GettingOut = tablet messaging + video.

How to send money

1. Create an account at connectnetwork.com or in the ConnectNetwork app.
2. Use Find Your Facility to select the state and facility.
3. Choose the account to fund (trust, AdvancePay, or PIN debit) and pay by debit/credit card.

• Phone: AdvancePay 800-483-8314; trust and PIN-debit lines vary by state
• Kiosk in many facility lobbies
• Retail: cash deposits at Western Union locations (using your facility's payment code)
• Mail: a money order with a deposit slip — processed by TouchPay, ViaPath's payments subsidiary

Costs and timing

Online/phone deposits usually make funds available by the next business day; mailed money orders take longer (often up to ten business days). Deposit fees vary by amount and method, so funding a larger amount less often reduces total fees. Phone (AdvancePay) usage is billed at per-minute rates that dropped under the FCC's Martha Wright-Reed caps effective April 6, 2026.

Tips

• Some states (e.g., California) require depositing to the trust account first; the inmate then moves money to a tablet account.
• Only approved visitors may be allowed to deposit at some facilities.
• Double-check the inmate ID — misdirected deposits are hard to reverse.
