The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (WVDCR) operates 10 adult correctional facilities across the state. Here is a complete guide for families.
Finding Your Loved One
WVDCR provides a free public offender search at dcr.wv.gov — navigate to "Offender Search." Search by name or DOC number. The search returns current facility, sentence information, and projected release date.
Phone Calls: Securus Technologies
West Virginia DOC uses Securus Technologies for inmate telephone services:
- Create a free account at securustech.net
- Register the phone number you want calls received on
- Fund your AdvanceConnect account
- Confirm your number is on the inmate's approved call list
Inmates call out — you cannot call in. Calls are monitored and recorded except attorney-client calls.
Sending Money: JPay
West Virginia DOC uses JPay for inmate trust account deposits. Go to JPay.com, search the inmate under West Virginia DOC, and deposit by card. Fees apply.
